Nozi is a financial educator , speaker and author, based in Johannesburg, South Africa.
My story
My name is Nozipho Van Heerden. I have a Masters degree in Inorganic Chemistry and I work for a software company. I became a self-taught personal finance educator and author purely by accident. It started after I had been forced to stay at home during the 2017 Christmas season because I was too broke to go anywhere; despite the fact that I had received my salary a few weeks earlier. I realized right then that I could not continue living this way and I decided teach myself about money so that I would never be broke again. By July 2019, I had made significant progress in my journey towards getting my finances in order that I decided to share what I was learning about money by creating a financial education Facebook page called TalkingMoneywithNozi.
I created Talking Money With Nozi because of the many financial questions that I received from visitors on my Facebook page. These were the same questions that I had too and had answered for myself through reading books on personal finance, online articles and blogs and listening to podcasts as well as watching YouTube videos. I created Talking Money with Nozi for people like me; people without formal education in money management but want to know how to manage their money better and achieve their financial goals.
